Spring 2024 Internship Programme

We are currently accepting applications for our spring internships!

This is a unique opportunity to work at the bleeding edge of technology development, developing new innovative circuits, devices and theoretical methods to tackle the engineering challenges of implementing a large-scale quantum computer in silicon.

Interns will gain research and industrial experience working with some of the brightest quantum engineers, IC engineers and quantum computing theoreticians in a fast-growing research and development environment.

Project areas for the internships include:

Interns invited to the programme will work closely with either our Quantum Hardware or Device Modelling team.

The Quantum Hardware team specialises in designing, validating and operating quantum processors based on silicon industrial technology. Read our recent blog post which highlights the measurement work of one of our 2022 summer interns, and his contribution to the world-leading results.

The Device Modelling team is working to provide a predictive modelling capability that gives rapid feedback on the quantum performance of candidate quantum circuit designs.

Both teams work in close partnership with each other and the Theory and Architectures Team, which considers the architectures that could most naturally be constructed using semiconducting components and the quantum algorithms they could run.
